Hi Everyone,

It’s been roughly two weeks since I started on my project to update and revamp my website.  I’m very happy with the progress I’m making and how things are starting to take shape.  I think the initial setup and content is about 70% to 80% done.  The majority of sections on the website now have something to look at.  The about Brad section has an overview of me and my interests.  Then each of the other sections such as Music, Writing and Books each go into further detail.   The Links section is still a work in progress but will be a links directory.  The Entertainment, Jokes an Contact sections within the next week.  Read more to find out how in greater detail about how the site development is progressing and what’s planned for the future.

The front page of the site has been redesigned so that apart from the main content I’ll soon be able to show site highlights or other featured content.  The About Brad section now has an overview of me and my interests.  In the future I plan to write more about my job and maybe my home town.  The Ireland Life blog page has now been fully integrated into the site and as a bonus you can now navigate by the category/topic or date.  The Music section has the first two parts of a series called ‘Music Is My Life’ which explains how music became an important part of my life.  There is also information about Artists and Bands that I consider my favourites and those artist and bands I like to listen to.  I plan to introduce a ‘what I’m listening to’, ‘reviews’ and ‘news’ pages as part of the section. 

The Writing section has some information about how I became and Internet publisher.  You’ll soon be able to see past and current written work.  I’m also planning on introducing my own ‘soap opera’ series.  The Books section contains information about what I’m currently reading, what I’ve read and what I plan to read in the future.   The Links section is not yet functional but it’s going to be my own collection of website links (a links directory) broken up into categories.  Visitors will also eventually be able to suggest sites to be added. 

The Entertainment section doesn’t have content yet but it will focus on things like TV Shows, Movies and DVD’s.   The Jokes section is also doesn’t have any content but as the name suggests it will contain jokes and other funny material.  Again visitors to the site will eventually be able to contribute.  Last but not least the Contact page will be setup over the next few days to enable visitors to provide feedback and suggestions.   That’s it for now.

Welcome to my brand new blog called ‘Ireland Life’. The name was inspired by an album of the same name by Grace Jones. Among other things she sang ‘Slave To The Rhythm’. The blog is designed to chronicle various things going on in my life and also a place where you can read random thoughts. My blog is part of my newly revamped web site.
