Welcome to my brand new blog called ‘Ireland Life’. The name was inspired by an album of the same name by Grace Jones. Among other things she sang ‘Slave To The Rhythm’. The blog is designed to chronicle various things going on in my life and also a place where you can read random thoughts. My blog is part of my newly revamped web site. My website is located at http://www.bradireland.net.
If you are reading the blog on my website well keep reading, if you are reading it on Facebook you’ll notice its showing up as a Note from me. To get to the actual website, click on the ‘View Original Post’ link. If you are using some other News/RSS reader application then do what you normally do to get to a website. Once you’re at the website you’ll find information about me plus my major interest such as Music, Writing, Books and Computing. I decided that in 2010 I would re-establish my website which had been suffering from long term neglect.
For the past several days I have been hard at work redeveloping the site. I decided to wipe everything and start again from scratch, well almost. It’s still very much a work in progress; I’m still busy setting things up and restoring old content or posting new content such as this blog. So if you take a look at the site and you notice something not quite working or missing come back again soon and it should be. I should probably have waited until everything was finished before announcing it to the world, but wanted to kick things off and let people know about. I very much encourage feedback, comments and suggestions about the things you see on my site and want to hear ideas about things you’d like to see there. On my website you can make a comment on the blog post or sign the guestbook or if reading from Facebook make a comment on the note. Anyone on the internet can see comments made on the site but comments made on Facebook, stay on Facebook and can’t be seen by others.
I plan to introduce other blogs about specific subjects in the coming months. For example I am going to start a computer blog and provide information, tips, tricks and tutorials. There will be more information about that and other blogs later on. For now I’ll be posting to Ireland Life on a regular basis, how regular depends on how much I have to say.
